Infertility-Sensitive/HAES-Friendly OB-GYN?

Anonymous

BTW, I am a plus-sized mom who had her post-IVF baby at age 38 (didnt deliver in the DMV so I cant recommend). My best friend since elementary school is an OB and I was talking to her about how I would be "high risk." She said, high risk in my world is patient with cancer, patient with HIV+ status. I see overweight moms all the time.

I just say this bc dont go in expecting to be beat up and treated like some sort 2nd class patient and if you are, keep shopping.

I know this last post is several months old, but OP, hoping you had a good result from your transfer a few months back. I have had great experiences post-infertility treatment with Bloom OBGYN (they are very connected to the REs at Shady Grove Fertility), and Dr. Osmun in particular is a calming, nonjudgmental presence. I was not AMA but was overweight and had multiple totally unrelated complications at the end of pregnancy--had a great experience with Bloom and the Sibley MFMs for that--and have had nothing but compassion from them. Best of luck to you!
