That’s probably closer to the truth. In any case, even if Barr were on the up and up, assisting in the investigation would not be an appropriate action. They’re all just filthy gangsters.

I thought Barr exonerated the president with the Mueller Report. Why are they going to such lengths to now discredit the Mueller report? And doing it in such an illegal way that also undermines our Intelligence Community?

So they are going to discover that 5Eyes collected information about Trump associates conversing with Russian assets in advance of the 2016 election.

The Dutch released video of the Russians literally hacking our election.

the Aussies reported the Papadapolous drunken confession.

I would guess other allies have other information.

Is the point to whitewash it? Ot to say it was all manufactured?

Either way, the fact is, there are standing allegations from the Mueller activity against Russian for the events of 2016. Why is Barr seeking to undermine the work done there?

Discredit the Mueller report? Where in the hell are you getting that idea?

This isn't about discrediting his report. It is to identify the origins of the disinformation that led to his entire investigation.
There is ample evidence that some in our IC community and government abused their power to force Mueller's investigation. If these people broke laws, shouldn't they be held accountable?

And here we are again....another morning of insanity within the Trump administration...the Mueller report (for those who have read it) clearly addresses and answers the "questions" that Barr has....regrettably one can draw no other conclusion that Barr is doing everything possible to support Trump's claim of a witch hunt and for the life of me I can't figure out why. What is Barr looking to get out of this?

I know it may be a reach, but consider for a moment, that the origins of the investigation were legitimitate.

That perhaps Papadopolous, who was at best, an intern at the Hudson Institute, really had no business being considered a Foreign Policy Expert by the Trump Campaign.
That perhaps a number of unsavory people with backgrounds associated with crime in Ukraine and Russia were at the head of the Trump campaign.
That perhaps Trump himself, had been laundering Russian money for decades and was a compromised candidate.

Just consider that for a moment and then look at these activities today through a different lens.

No, it actually doesn't at all.
There are MANY questions yet to be answered........

Did Mueller interview Alexandra Chalupa, who was reportedly working with the DNC? Nope.
This is just one of many questions.
Another - was Alexander Downer sent to set up George P? Was Downer acting as a spy?

Barr is a treason weasel. Had the gop not lost its ethics, he would have been gone by now.
