Wholly agree with Michael Pena! I agree with all of yours except Brie Larson. Have you seen Short Term 12??

Yes, I’ve seen it. Meh. She’s very forgettable to me.

She kicked azz as Captain Marvel. Loved her. And oddly, decided to watch Room last night for the first time. So good.

1. Ryan Gosling. He is NOT attractive. He looks like a rodent and his eyes are too close together.
2. Tom Hanks. He can only play one role. And Forrest Gump sucked.
3. Will Ferrell. Not really that funny.

I enjoy all these ppl!

Anonymous wrote:Overrated, back in the day: Andie McDowell. I don't think anyone ever raved about her performances, but she got a lot of great leading lady roles even though she can't act to save her life. So many of her lines in Four Weddings and a Funeral were so oddly delivered. I kept thinking there was something I didn't get until I finally realized that she's just a terrible actress.

I will admit, though, that she's so gorgeous, I almost don't mind.

I agree. Her best performance was in Sex, Lies, and Videotape, directed by Soderbergh. Julia Roberts wouldn’t have an Oscar if it weren’t for Soderbergh.

Marlee Matlin has always been underrated

Maybe she didn't sleep with Harvey Weinstein.

I'm only slightly kidding. But there were good actresses who just disappeared for that reason, like Mira Sorvino. Her father was in the business and she won an Oscar, and it still didn't matter.

Underrated:

Tom Cruise *as an actor*
I know he’s a tabloid favorite and a creepy Scientologist, but dude can act (Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut, etc)

Mos Def, never got the props he deserved IMO

Kanye West. Again, he has a lot of popularity as a public figure, but he is a trailblazer and a genius producer

I got you on the Tom Cruise thing! He is underrated as a dramatic actor. He’s incredible — complex, moving, real— in Rain Man. Watching it again, it’s annoying and predictable that Dustin Hoffman got the best actor oscar for it, but I understand.

Thank you! Ryan Gosling is not attractive!!! And he’s not cutesy-clever on social media either despite trying very, very hard.

Andie’s delivery of “Is it still raining? I hadn’t noticed” at the end of Four weddings and a Funeral is so weird and wooden and terrible it kills the scene. There are youtube clips of it. I remember models trying to become movie actresses being A Thing in the 1990s though.

He is pretty good in crazy stupid love. With Emma Stone.

Tom Hanks, pp? Really? I will admit to going through a short anti-Tom Hanks period, but I snapped out of it quickly. He’s a national treasure. And he’s playing Mr Rodgers in an upcoming movie.

I used to not like Channing Tatum, too. I am ok with him these days, though. He won me over with his sense of humor.

Will Ferrell can be annoying, but his Dubya impression is the BEST. And I love Elf, as do my kids.

Are you thinking of Ryan Reynolds? He has a big social media following.

Celebs shouldn’t talk politics because they are paid to portray someone else, or otherwise provide entertainment, and shouldn’t take part in the divisive nature of politics.

For example, I liked George Clooney more before he started spouting his bleeding-heart views while living in his ivory tower Italian villa.

The smartest celebs are those who keep their opinions to themselves.

And yet, Jane Fonda is still working.

Bless your heart.
