It quickly devolves into blair envy.

Blair envy? Maybe within the rest of the DCC but if anybody from a W wanted to attend Blair they would have bought there and saved a ton of money. Why would people think people are envious about something so attainable? Most of them could buy 2 or 3 of the better homes inbounds for Blair for what they paid for theirs.

The magnet is a good program but they have equal access to that and dominate slots many years so... fact is people at the W’s paid a premium to avoid Blair. Not the actions of people who think highly of something

Thou protests too much!

Not a protest but simple facts. A middle of the pack school on the poor side of town isn’t desirable no matter how the booster spin it. If it was the rich people would move in and push & price the poor and middle class out. Just like ever other desirable thing

If your definition of desirable is Stuff Rich People Want - that's not a fact, simple or otherwise.

Logistics and Blair bussing schedule didn’t work for our family so we turned it down. One kid got full ride to sidwell though and did well, other went to our home HS which has hockey. Good luck.
