I seem to remember a too similar thread written by an OP with the exact same writing style. I think it was VA Tech versus MIT? Or it might have actually been Columbia.

Lives in Vienna woods in a rambler -- house would have no room for a 100K piano. Maybe an upright, but those do not cost 100K.

1) Columbia admits are not out yet (except for ED, which limits choices)

2) While the person did not say this, the school -- Madison -- has no one that matches the profile you are describing. At least, no student in the music department.

Definitely a troll. But even if it weren't, how is this even a question? Columbia is one of the preeminent universities in the world. George Mason... is George Mason.

Not really. If you are also accepted to Juilliard, there is a dual program with Columbia. You also pay Juilliard's tuition.
