I bet you said the same while watching Mr and Mrs Smith.

She dated her own brother so.... no i would not compare gaga to that nasty human.

They seemed like they were acting to me.

But either way, damn Gaga can sing.

I agree. He also had good chemistry with Jennifer Garner on Alias.

It is crazy to me that so many of you are rooting for a man to leave his partner and child and hoping he had an affair with his costar. If this were a DCUM post by someone having an affair with their coworker, you would be blasting them.

I know their movie sold the idea that the ugly girl can get the guy, but it doesn’t happen that way in real life. Men care about looks, and a man who goes for supermodels isn’t going to downgrade because she’s “special”.

So much of this.

Please. Gaga isn’t traditionally beautiful, but she’s sexy and oh-so-exciting. That beats supermodel looks every time.

To each their own bc I see a very average looking woman who is a great performer, over the top and loves fame.

WTH

No - she did not. don't confuse one weird kiss for the paparazzi as "brother and sister dating".

Interesting. Thought they were amazing and the song is brilliant.

I don’t really like the song - the Lalala part seems trite and lazy. But I loved the performance tonight. They do have a ton of chemistry.

The song, when sung in the movie is brilliant! If you haven’t seen the movie, the wasn’t written down or rehearsed before they performed it. They kind of winged it on stage. The la la la part is because they didn’t have actual lyrics to sing.

Apparently the masses disagree with DCUM and thought they had "electrifying chemistry", I agree with the masses.

The chemistry was amazing.

And I just remembered: The Oscar commercials specifically said that he would be performing the song as Bradley Cooper, not his character in the movie. When I first saw that, I thought it was weird. Since when have they ever announced something like that before?

Probably for some kind of copyright / royalties reason? I don't think he is a songwriter on the song, she is. So likely for him to duet, it has to be as himself and not seen as part of the movie.

Nope. That kind of clarification doesn’t ever come before any other performance like that, regardless of whether the performers wrote the song or not. Plus he’s the director of the movie; he’s definitely part of the movie in pretty much all legal considerations.

Maybe because he used his normal voice and not his movie-Sam Elliot voice?

Maybe because he was going to be sober and not pee all over himself during the performance?

Yeah I agree with this. I think he really likes her a lot and feels fondly towards her. For one of those very sexy and charming guys, that comes off as “chemistry.” Have you guys not ever met a really hot, charming guy who looks at you and smiles and you think “maybe he’s into me?” He’s not into you, but those guys just have that magic power. Damn—I watch his movies and think he’s into me from the way he smiles at the camera!

But I have no idea if the supermodel is going to keep him engaged. I don’t think he has a history of dating super models, right? Seems like a hot woman with a brain (yes, there are some) might be a better fit for him.

he dated someone VERY young before Irina. Like, barely legal young.

well, much like paul walker and the teenager, it is skeevy.

Irina is a well known beard which is just as well because I think she’s terribly unattractive and they have zero chemistry together. Gaga looks good when she cleans up and she is mega talented, but their chemistry is just for show in an effort to win Oscar awards.
