It's very theatrical, which is Gaga's wheelhouse. She loves getting reactions from people and this global stage is a dream come true.

Bradley seems to love being brought along for the ride, and probably has some infatuation with her and the whole situation, but after the final curtain of the Oscars dropped, this "relationship" is going to cool quickly.

I also see him coming out of this with some positive momentum because he will stay with his girlfriend, he stretched himself both in front of and behind the camera, his name/face was everywhere during awards season, he benefitted from crossing over into Gaga's fandom and the music world.

Once Gaga stopped being natural-faced Ally she went back to over-the-top, edgy Lady Gaga. Unless she continues to try new things her career will return to its former state as a big deal in music, but more a caricature and a performer than someone who is open to evolving.

Personally, I think she would be allowed to put out whatever face she wants and shape her career and persona however satisfies her as an artist, BUT she may get tired of the same Gaga world after too long since she got a taste of something different.

I think her career will evolve. She's established herself as a legit actress and I think a lot of directors will want to work with her. Not only does she have a strong fan base, she has a reputation for professionalism/hard work.

Agreed to her work ethic but can she really walk away from her stage persona? Or is that who she is?

She kind of already did. The Joanne album and tour were very different. It's all in that Gaga five foot two doc.

Yes. It’s one sided. He likes her. She ADORES him.

I don't know if you're right about that. When he moved that mic stand and started walking to her I thought he was breaking what the rehearsed to go kiss her. He seems so torn like he wants her but knows it's wrong.

And of course she adores him, this was a huge opportunity he gave her.

She was the big audience draw, not him.

Yes...but because he has such a big ego, he probably believes that he's made it to another deeper level thanks to the film...which was really all about her.

And if he's anywhere near his midlife crisis, he might be wondering if Gaga challenges him/makes life more interesting than his boring sahm model GF.

I don’t know a ton about her private life, but Gaga tends to date men who are not famous. Despite their obvious chemistry, I don’t think Bradley is her type

They are actors.

They are acting.

Gaga told Jimmy Kimmel it was all acting. If that's true I say they both deserve an Oscar!

Yup, and more power to them.

Every moment of the Oscar performance mirrored the directorial/cinematographic choices made in the movie. I think they both very directly controlled/planned every moment. And they were tremendously successful. I think it's amazing how much emotion and chemistry they conveyed. And the staging may also have provided a way for Bradley Cooper to manufacture a scenario where he could pull off something he is not fully comfortable with (the onstage performance as himself).

The interactions between Cooper and Shayk during the ceremony were the kind of thing you would expect to see from a long standing couple who are very happy together.

Him putting her in the movie is what I meant. She's never been a leading lady until now and he gave her that shot.

Bradley probably made millions upon millions by attaching Gaga to the movie. I bet Irina is ok.

I think what makes it weird maybe is the characters from movies don't usually perform a love song in a theater.
