He is right. Don’t eat meat a soup,e days a week. Not difficult.

One by one, the Democrats are destroying each other. In a few weeks, there will be no one left...

... except for Hillary.

Exactly. I am a vegetarian. A lazy one. I have slip-ups. But I mainly avoid meat for a number of reasons. I just wanted to suggest something: try going vegetarian 3-4 days a week. Many people don't realize the effect meat consumption has on our planet. Eating a meat-heavy (and dairy) diet is as bad as a gas-guzzling car in terms of climate change.

“Preventing catastrophic warming is dependent on tackling meat and dairy consumption, but the world is doing very little,” said Rob Bailey, the report’s lead author. “A lot is being done on deforestation and transport, but there is a huge gap on the livestock sector. There is a deep reluctance to engage because of the received wisdom that it is not the place of governments or civil society to intrude into people’s lives and tell them what to eat.”

Our kids need a place to live- let's try to all chip in and all make some changes.

Sit down.

Can you believe the constant hyperbole?

Good, then bury your head in the sand and do nothing. And remember your shitty +1s when things really start to go downhill for us. I will never understand people like you.

Yep. It's amusing to watch all the infighting between the loonies and the looniers.

Ok school me. What other politicians have legislated food policy to America? Besides Michelle Obama’s unpopular and gross school lunch program?

So healthy foods are gross? Do you know what percentage of a heinz ketchup bottle is sugar? Hint, about 1/2.

That's not the point. The point is free people are able to make free choices about what they eat. The government may advocate for certain lifestyles that they believe is more healthy, but they should not plan on enforcing what people can or can't eat through law.

Your kids have free choice. Pack a lunch. Duh.

Now dems want to make it mandatory for everyone.

Can't beat the opposition in the arena of ideas? Then force a dumb-diet on them, and bring them down to your level.

Great.

I have a vegan friend who was raising her kids vegan - until the oldest boy hit adolescence. Then his energy level and grades plummeted. She finally listened to her doctor who told her to make sure the kids were eating MEAT. The difference in the boy's demeanor was a complete 180. His body was crying out for animal protein. Thank goodness my friend and her husband respected that and allowed him to start making his own food choices.

Thanks for this. I'm a registered dietitian nutritionist and I see variations of this often.

After reading this thread I worked up an appetite for a filet, then I’ll probably have some lamb chops for dessert.

Should we also legislate activities that increase the likelihood of getting AIDS or STDs?

Absolutely.

Shouldn’t you be out somewhere trying to swindle your fellow servers out of $510 in tip shares?
