In Palo Alto the school recommend $1000 a student, so shut your cheap ass up and skip date night one weekend

Uh, Janney asks for $787 per student. And we’re a dual fed family, not Palo Alto tech money. Our Au Park house would cost $4million there. We’re not in the same stratosphere. |
|
And here’s a top Palo Alto elementary’s 2018 auction:
https://addison.paloaltopta.org/addison-auction/ Tickets are $50 a person. |
| So what. It’s a fundraiser? The goal is to raise money! Most people are happy and willing to pay the ticket price. If you aren’t, don’t!! If you go the school, you will benefit by being surrounded by rich people funneling money into it! |
| I believe key’s fundraiser is more than that. |
| This price is not that unusual. Early bird tickets to the Two Rivers auction are $85. |
| The Janney Country Day School is becoming elitist and exclusionary. |
#jealous |
| This forum makes out AU Park and Janney for what they are : wannabe UMC. AU Park does not compare with Spring Valley, Kent, Mann or the richer Murch areas, but somehow AU Park parents want us to believe they are up there in $$$ and Janney is the richest ES of the city. |
| These are people supporting a PUBLIC SCHOOL not a strip club. Maybe stop vilifying them. |
Seriously. |
What’s Janney’s progress toward having at least 10 percent at risk students? |
| I wish we could charge for our events. We are struggling to raise $20k. |
|
Its progressing at the same pace as DCPS' efforts to reduce w3 overcrowding |
