My K son wants to wear leggings

Primary is great. They have think, fleece lined cozy leggings that are a little loose and come in dark blue and black among other colors...dark grey. I got some different sizes for my DD and one was way too big. DS put them on and they don't really look like leggings. They are a little loose in the backside but my kids have really little backsides.

$20 for a pair of cozy leggings? Way too overpriced when kids outgrow them very soon. Even gymboree cozy leggings used to be $15 or less.

The way that they make joggers, they seem almost like leggings. Those might work.

Lands End leggings have reinforced knees. While I believe they are filed under the girl section, they have plenty in neutral colors like black and grey. They also have unisex or boys' joggers with reinforced knees - look for "Iron Knee." We've been pretty happy with both products for my girls, though after a solid year of wear in cold weather the iron knees themselves (not the leggings) started to rip on one pair.

Uniqlo sells boys leggings for $9.99 from ages 3 to 13.

I think sports leggings/tights are trendy for boys right now. My 12 year old nephew sports them, and my 7 year old wants some (a bunch of his friends are wearing them too). My son wears shorts over them as part of the look.

What does his dad say about all this?

The quality is much better than Gymboree, and if you have multiple children, they can be handed down. I've sold these for $10 each.

I wasn’t able to read through the whole thread but I have a skinny boy who only wants to do “soft pants.” We do primary (when we can get a deal) and Zara. He’s five and has only ever been teased when I bought him the primary valentines leggings. He DGAF and wears them anyway.

If I were you OP, I'd just take him to Target and let him pick. A good opportunity to teach that anyone can wear anything and boys can buy clothes from girls section.
