Of course people are sober. I haven't seen anyone on drugs at a Phish show since 2004. Once Trey went to rehab the entire scene followed and got sober. I’m sure there are some sober people. But you will definitely see drunk people and you will definitely smell weed. And if you know what to look for you’ll see...more.
I’ve seen Phish probably 10 times in the last 20-some years. Sober once. The other times? Drink, high, tripping...

Ugh no. Jam bands are terrible. You truly have to be high or on shrooms etc to go to one of their never ending shows. But the people in audience are the worst. I know some
One educated and sometimes successful but now let’s her parents support her part time and she attends phish shows all year long and sells grilled cheese sandwiches in the parking lot. And yes is high every single day.

Sorry, the trolls made me lose a lot of this thread.

Didn’t Phish do the same thing DMB did in the early years, namely allow fans to patch into their soundboards and “bootleg” (via trading) live shows?

I always buy DMB stuff for this fact. I have so many awesome tapes (yep, tapes), and although I never “got into” Phish, but I respect musicians who do / did this.
