Exactly. Some people are so nasty.

1. Easier to track expenses
2. Easier to dispute charges and detect fraud
3. Points

We pay it off each month and basically travel for free as a family once a year. We use the United Mileage Plus card.

The thing that gets me is that people forget that the retailers have to pay every time you make a CC transaction so retailers increase the cost of everything in order to cover that charge.

So people who pay with cash have to pay this increased cost too. Everything would cost less if CCs weren't a thing.

What CC do you all recommend? One without an annual fee. Not a high earner, so not worth a high fee.

I did this too. I literally called the CC from the dealership and asked them to raise my limit from $3,000 to $5,000 so I could use as a downpayment. I only get 1% cash back but its still a good deal. I also pay it off in full every month.

I have Chase. I get 1% cash back on everything and then quarterly they do a 5% cash back on certain things like grocery stores, gas station, restaurants etc.
No annual fee.

The fees small businesses pay to credit card processors are steep. I don't use cards for small purchases, because I have no desire to help Capital One make a profit every time I buy a hoagie or a baby present.

Dumb. Don’t you realize all those small charges add up to real money back in your pocket? The only real way to win at this charging game is to charge everything.

There’s not any one card that’s right for everyone. For me I use the BofA Travel Reward Visa card and my reward cash reward credits are based on my total BofA deposits. Higher the deposits, higher the reward points get.

I use Capital One Quiksilver for 1.25% cash back
