I've always loved the names Emily and Sara (no H!) too.

I think Natalie and Samantha are both in the top 10 for popular girls names this past year... not great choices if OP wants a name that isn't used much

No, Natalie peaked at #13 in 2008 and was #36 in 2017 (and its highest rank in the 1970s was #66, in 1978, so it really isn't a 70s name), and Samantha peaked at #4 in 1993-95 (#54 in 2017).

You're right, not sure why I was imagining I'd seen them in the top 10 when I looked at that list a while back. I do hear each of those names pretty frequently though.

I have a 3 yo named Ellen. She's the only one we've ever met and we get complimented constantly. Love the name, but there are a million Ella/Ellies everywhere.

We also have a Molly, 6 yo.

Ideas- Greta / Lucy / Clare / Kate / Mia / Maeve / Hadley / Sadie / Sally

I like Julia and only know one child under 12 named that.

I'll also add Erin to the list. One of my favorites, not heard much now

Personally, I don’t know any little girls with these names, so I don’t hear them often

Sarah and Cara as sisters doesn't make sense anyway.

Assuming OP lives in the DC area, the names are more popular here (e.g., Natalie is gaining popularity, #33 in 2015, #26 in 2016, #24 in 2017)
