Drop off at 7am too early?

It may be a long day, but if your kid is happy that's okay. My DD is in daycare from 8am-5:30pm based on pure logitics of the 8.5 hours I need to be at work (working hours and mandatory lunch) and the 40 minute commute each way on the metro. She loves being at daycare with her friends and the toyrs and games. Whenever I've gotten early release and gone to fetch her early, she's very upset about having to leave the fun and friends, and I end up hanging out at daycare with her and the kids (it's an inhome) until normal pick up time anyway. It's sad for me to be told to 'go home' when I come to pick her up early, but I know it's because she's having so much fun and is so happy at daycare, so that takes the edge off.

+1 . Agree with PPs that’s it’s the total length hat matters more but also agree that you need to work...these early years are tough.
