It’s a small school district with small class and fantastic schools.
You can definitely find a house in your price range and it’s highly walkable to it probably will be less of culture shock for you.

Agreed. Plus I believe you are guaranteed a spot in before-care and/or after-care if you work which is a huge plus.

We Lao just completed construction at the K-2 elementary school and there is a new high school that will be built starting in 2019.

Construction at the K-1 (later to be K-2) school might be complete sometime in the Fall of this year, it won't be a K-2 school until school year 2019-20. 2-5 elementary school (later to be 3-5) will also need an addition sometime in the next few years. Meanwhile, as PP said, the new HS will also be under construction. If any of this is reason to move to FCC I'd like to know why. Just because they are way over enrolled and it shows no sign of letting up? And speaking of daycare, it might be true that you can get your kid in, but do you care how many kids are in daycare?

Like many other schools in the area FCC has good outcomes, but as anyone who really knows what's going on will tell you, this is because of the demographics they start with. The school itself, staff, admin, curriculum, buildings, etc. are basically no better than any other decent schools in Northern Virginia. And, oddly, principals at the few schools in the district come and go like the wind, not sure why that is.

What you get in FCC for your millions of dollars is a very small district where your voice will be heard if you choose to use it. I'll admit, that's worth something.
