Especially in the D.C. area: "Hollywood for ugly people". There is nothing that gossip worthy about her, who cares? She's from somewhere else, she's never going to be one of you, so what? I don't think she sees that as the problem that PPs seem to. Stop taking it as a personal affront. She just seems really tacky. I doubt she's the most hated woman in DC, given that a lot of people probably never think about her at all. She's not famous for anything other than being married to a Cabinet official. If she acted like a normal person no one would ever have even heard of her.

I read that, also. Consider that she is not from here. Not only that, she is from L.A. Her life was different before now, that's all. She might not be as bad as some of the Washington people portray, and there may be incentive for them to hate on her because she is different.

She seems pretty much exactly that bad, and has attracted so much attention because unlike other DC folks who would like to grin maniacally, holding up up sheaths of money while wearing elbow-length leather gloves, she hasn't learned to hide her true self. Or doesn't care to hide her true self so as not to stand out that much.
