This, exactly. People have this weird idea that we are supposed to deplane by row but that's ridiculous. I can be up, out, and to the plane door in a matter of 30-60 seconds. Why should I have to wait for the out-of-shape, overweight, overpacked, or people with a bunch of kids and kid gear to get it together and lumber down the aisle? Not going to do it. |
Uh, human decency? Common courtesy? It's not all about you, you know. |
Yes! Thank you! |
Awful person alert. |

I am that person. One, I get an aisle seat whenever possible so if I have that, I stand up because otherwise other people will stand in the aisle and will delay your exit.
Also, at the end of a flight I am more than ready to stand up and stretch my legs – I am tired of sitting. I am not rushing people off the flight, and let people go in front of me, but if there's an opportunity to walk out and I have my stuff I go. I was just on a flight where a man was blocking the aisle for what seems like forever – he put on his coat, zipped it up, and then proceeded to get his bags and talk with his wife about their kid, all while blocking the aisle. I almost made a comment about him zipping the coat when he wasn't blocking the aisle but refrained |
| The issue is that the "rushers" always delay other people by trying to finagle their oversized carry on. Settle down. We all have places to be. Obviously. |
| I have a friend who is a pilot and he takes great joy in braking hard at the gate when he’s heard all the seat belts clicking open before the light is turned off. |
Ummm no that is your odd fantasy not something shared by anyone who has ever flown a plane. |
| There is NOWHERE to go anyway. Even if you're anxious to get off, you can't. You must wait your turn. |
