I use The Ordinary's vitamin C. Never oxidizes; works well.

Was a former Skinceuticals diehard, but budget cuts made me switch brands. My skin also stopped breaking out when I made the switch.

I have never heard of this and I use Vitamin C almost every day. I love Drunk Elephant or clinic Vit C. you need to research to make sure you are using a stable version. Are you using something cheap that is dyed orange to make you think its Vit C?
