Family, I spoke w/Justin 2nite and he shared heartfelt words of respect for Prince & the Purple fans. I look 4wrd 2 seeing what I’m sure is going 2 be a spectacular halftime show. There is no hologram. pic.twitter.com/mhVXBfBa1B

So, Justin lied to her?

Huh? There was no hologram. Prince’s image was on a screen.

And purple all over the city. That was impressive.

He should've made a nod to Tom petty, too, if he was going to give a shout out to Prince.

Tom petty rocked the half time show many years ago.

Uh Prince was from MN. That’s why he was honored.

I enjoyed it.

I was a bit surprised by JT's physical appearance. Maybe it was just the lighting, but the guy looks ten years older than his actual age.

He’s 37. I thought he looked his age.

It's the new Dad pop.

I’m not a mega fan, but I feel like a few people we’re going to hate whatever he did. No matter what.

I thought the show was fun. My kids liked it, I liked how it all came together. The Prince part was as respectful as it could possibly be.

Well in JT’s defense, Prince is from and died in Minneapolis. The Super Bowl was in Minneapolis. So it kind of made sense.

The few times you could hear his singing voice, it was terrific. Way too many dancers crowding him, sound was terrible, too much crammed into the performance.

The selfie kid thing was so funny.

And it was better than Tom Brady dressed like a female executive!

Timberlake's performance was arguably one of the worst I've seen and I feel somewhat of a vindication here because I've always argued that he owed his career to two black producers from Virginia ( Timbaland and Pharrell Williams ) who concocted Cathy beats for him and not to his actual talent . I mean he's a boys band alum .

To make things worse he's not aging well . Either he consumes liberal amounts of alcohol or lives a stressful life despite a very curated social media life or the vanilla thing has caught to him full scale

Funny how he's discovering how much of a man of the woods he is after making pop music with that fake ass falsetto of his

I love him and thought he did a good job. I was hoping they'd mix in some other artists, as that's what I like to see in the Super Bowl. But, I love his songs and he still has some great moves.

The dude is not old, not sure what you people are smoking. He's still good looking and has good moves. Very talented guy.

And the kid from the audience was just on TV saying not only did he know who JT is, but he is a huge fan.

As for the Prince thing, I get why he was honored since Prince was from MN. But, I did think it was kind of out of place. As for Prince "rolling in his grave", simply put, this was not a travesty. I think he'd be fine with it.

The only thing I was upset about was that he didn't end his set with "bring it on down to liquor-viiiiiiille!"

He looked better last night than he has lately. In recent photos I’ve seen of him he easily looks early/mid 40s
