Her drug/alcohol, promiscuity, prior engagements are not relevant. But the fact that she is accusing a man that she had actively sought out for years and years - to seduce (once), to befriend (both him and his wife), to work with him, to greet at parties.....that is relevant. In fact, that says a lot about what the relationship between these two REALLY was.

I think that actions speak louder than words do in this particular situation. I think she is looking for attention, anything to put herself in the spotlight.

She has nothing to gain by this particular "spotlight." So GMAFB. And, as others pointed out, she clearly had some other issues going on. Frankly, lots of people are able to put on blinders or act as nothing has happened as a coping mechanism. It's also possible that her position, or feelings, have changed over time. Or that she originally did not grasp the impropriety by Baio and now does. But, I see you are willing to bend over backwards for him and not give her any benefit of the doubt whatsoever.

I don't know if she's telling the truth or not. Or if he is. But, the knee jerk to believe him but bring into focus her myriad of issues as a way to dismiss her out of hand. . . . it's despicable and the reason why people don't speak up more.

I think his Facebook video disputing her claims with actual evidence is what's prompting people to believe him.

And she did have something to gain: payment for interviews. She had lined up a big interview with Dr. Oz, but the producer canceled it based on Baio's evidence that she was lying. The fact they canceled also prompts reasonable people to believe him over her.

Anyone using the interview she gave should read this from the person who gave the interview:

“I remember the day Nicole Eggert did the radio interview with me about Scott Baio. Nicole was distraught after the interview and off air she was an emotional wreck. She told me it was much worse than she described on air. She said “he molested me as a child and I didn’t know any better.” I can vividly remember that statement. It’s not one you would forget. Yes, Alexander Polinsky (who played NE's brother on Charles in Charge) basically accused SB of abuse over twitter a month or two ago.

She's all over social media and has her own website, but she hasn't said anything about this. Seems like she would if it were true. She's also really good looking...looks better now than she did as a teen.

Merely pointing out that they have the same manager.

And while she might not make a lot of money doing interviews, she could make a lot of money if she sues him...and that's where I think she's heading with this: a civil suit, hoping he'll settle out of court.

I do not think she is lying about it but I also do not think he is a pedophile. Its not black and white, there is a lot of grey here.

Well according to the interviewer whose interview is being used as evidence AGAINST Nicole is saying that he believes her.
Says that after that interview Nicole was an emotional wreck and asserted that Baio had molested her . So she said it back then as well.
