2007, 110 guests, married in a cathedral and had a fancy reception. In Ohio. 27k.
We paid for $15k of the total and at that time, that was a lot of money to us. I do not regret spending the money at all. |

| 15K - Alexandria in 2010. Early evening, buffet dinner, open bar. About 75 people. I was very frugal with my budget. Flowers were bought at the grocery store and made the bouquets myself. Used cheaper greenery for decorations. Winter time, so that helped. Focused on money on venue and booze - we wanted to dance and wanted everyone to have a good time! |

2012. 100 guests. Wedding at our church, reception at our house. $10K--includes wedding, reception, rings, honeymoon, and paying to fly in and put up younger relatives (college-aged siblings). Does not include wedding eve dinner for 40 (family and out of town guests), which my mother in law hosted at her house.
It was absolutely worth every penny because we couldn't have gathered our closest 100 friends and family together for any cheaper, and that's a priceless experience. |
