Probably not likely, but maybe an independent in the vein of Vihstadt will step up as a challenger! Of course, we would also have to elect him/her, so probably doubly unlikely. Ugh. This county is maddening sometimes. |
Why are people against her? All I know is she has been running every time. Tenacious if nothing else! |
She ran an amazing campaign. More visible than anyone ever. Phone calls, pamphlets, Posters, Facebook, she was everywhere. Hope she will shake things up. Glad Lander is out!! Hope that Maura McM will run again in the future. |
I agree. I wanted Maura, but am also please with O'Grady. Hopefully Maura will give it another shot. |
I'm bummed that Gutshall won in the CB race though. |
Can anyone recruit a strong independent to challenge him? It's not over until November! |
Very sad about both winners. More choice schools and other dumb stuff. Am hoping for the best. |
Guys remember that these were just the primaries, where candidates run to see who gets the endorsement of the parties. O'Grady or Gutshall are on the School or County Boards yet! |
^^yes - but it is almost automatic. So sad. |
looking forward to 2018 - I hope someone strong runs against Barbara Kannihan.
Unfortunately John Vihstadt's term is up in 2018. |
Hoping it's Maura. I thought BK would be what Maura said -- someone who looks at data and assesses the success of programs objectively. Instead, we have another SB member who won't do anything that implies criticism of those who have gone before (and appointed Murphy). I want someone who's going to look for the best interests of students. ALL students. |
This is so damn frustrating. So more affordable housing and bussing/choice schools? No!!!!!!! |
