Thank you for posting the NPR article. Really interesting.
When people make shrill statements about how affordable housing is crowding the schools, it's really easy to tune that out. If you look at student enrollment, you would see that most of the student boom is coming from SFH's, and condos. However, when you take into account what concentrated AH does to demographics, and the increased density developers are granted for chipping into the fund, it starts to add up. That we don't get much in return for our tax dollars is just more insult to injury. |
You need to rank. |
Lots of geezers out voting!
|
Yep. They'll be getting theirs. It's the arlington way. Forget your 4th HS. Enjoy online learning! |
So? What do people think? I thought it was pretty busy at WL, but definitely more people without kids vs. with kids in tow. |
I was there at 11 and there was a good amount of families, but way more seniors. |
We set a record!
As of 6 p.m., the @arlingtondems caucus had 5,584 votes, beating its previous caucus record of 4,951 in the 1993 County Board vote. From Arl news now. |
So we know how many are cast for a primary? The county has grown exponentially since 1993. 1000 additional votes hardly seems to keep pace with that growth. |
When are results expected? |
Monique O'Grady won. NOT LANDER! YAHOOOO! |
Woohoo! Hopefully the rest of the SB will see this as a sign that Arlington parents don't accept a 4k kid hs. |
BOOM |
Except that Gutshall won the CB, so we can expect even more segregated schools with the amount of AH he'll add to the Pike. |
Yeah all those boomers voting for the incubant. Bummed we couldn't get Fallon or klm |
I never thought I'd say it.
I'm voting for Audrey Clement in the Fall. |
