RHONY Season 9

True, Bethanny has remained true to her fake "I am so real" line of BS for a while now. Carole is highly uninteresting on her own, and I think that's why she's glommed onto being Bethanny's meangirl beta so she can get more screen time.

Ha, Carole is probably the only one who actually IS interesting. What a life she's lived. She's not a narcissist nutjob, so she's low conflict on the show and doesn't talk about herself all the time and hangs back. So agreed, boring for reality tv. I can't even figure out why she bothers or is on this show.

Interesting life maybe, but she's deathly dull. Boring. All she does is follow aftwr Bethanny like a lapdog looking for approval. She clearly sucks up to her so she can get screen time, since Bethanny is a producer and queen bee on the show. She is an accomplished individual, and it's sad to see her in the role of beta girl on a reality show.

What's interesting is that Carole was not up Bethenney's butt until midway through the first season that B returned. Before the Turks trip, Carole and Bethenney were getting along, sure, but they weren't joined at the hip.

The turning point was when all that "Be Cool/Girl Code" stuff went down, and then Carole and LuAnn got in a fight, and Carole "retaliated" by getting close to B and snarking on everyone, and LuAnn got closer to Ramona and to Dorinda and even Sonja. It was all kind of weird.

A lot of the B/Carole as "mean girls" stuff also happened when Jules was new. Now that she's not around, they seemed to have calmed down a bit.

Don't get it. She's the worst. So full of shit, desperate, self-absorbed, and a terrible friend. I thought the way she treated Sonja last year about the whole Tom debacle was horrid. Your classic woman who will do anything to be with a guy and everyone else is the problem, never the loser guy. So gross.

Interesting. You just described Bethenney to a T. She's treated everyone like shit.

I thought Carole's friendship with Heather was much more mature and equal. I enjoyed watching that.

Next week looks like it is going to heat up. Dorinda started out as a very even-keeled, down-to-earth, voice-of-reason type a few seasons ago, and now she seems like she's on the verge of being a complete nutbag. I wonder if the show changed her, or if she is just now letting it all hang out.

I kind of like where B and LuAnn are at right now...they just don't give a F what the other thinks/says/does. And they're getting along better because of it!

Carole and LuAnn seem like they are in a much better place.

Carole and LuAnn are hot and cold though. I'm sure that roller coaster will continue.

The cast is too fractured at this point and there doesn't seem to be enough genuine friendships. The Housewives cast chemistry is tough though! You need conflict, but when none of them even like each other, it's not great TV either.

That dinner with Ramona, LuAnn, Dorinda, Carole, and Bethenny...just so forced. Why are these people even out to dinner together (yes, I know it's for the show)/? No, Bethenny doesn't give a shit about any of these people or their opinions. Yes, Ramona is weird and rude. Really, they are all kind of awful at this point individually AND together.

Dorinda seems so rough around the edges. And that horrible little boyfriend of hers is just the worst.

This was very obvious in this week's episode. None of the ladies appear to be friends. They were simply at dinner because this show is their job and they have to show up to get paid.

Yes, she does. But as much as she makes me cringe (that stuffed-up nose voice), I cannot look away from Carole's giant mouth, which she appears incapable of closing over her huge teeth. Carole is the ugliest reality tv person I have ever seen.

Carole is so boring. What does she do all day? Yes she used to be a reporter and wrote that novel two seasons ago. The other women seem to have jobs even if that job is just promoting their latest gimmicks. Carole is sounding pathetic bragging about being a journalist and being so informed on politics. She had t worked as a journalist in over 10 years. Also, has plastic surgery reunited her mouth. One side sags.

They are dancing around the fact that the reason Dorinda hates Sonja so much now is that Sonja accused her of being a cokehead on the last reunion show (likely true). Dorinda is never going to mention that directly though and I notice the show is not showing flashbacks to that part of the reunion as they normally would.

That's twice so far this season that Ramona has shown up somewhere all dressed up because she's just been or is about to go "on a date." Yeah right Ramona, I'll believe it when I see it. Also how cringey was it when she said all Avery's friends see her more as a friend than a mom?

You'll notice Carole's political activism this season and how she's going after Bethenny, who is a Trump supporter.
