NP here. The ability to identify and label her feelings at that age is what struck me. Expect a very emotionally deep child, most likely. She sounds wonderful. |

| DD is now 4.5, she was speaking insanely well starting around 18 months. She's still a very normal, average child. Yep, it's awesome her language is in early, but she still sounds on the normal range. |

| My daughter is also verbally advanced and my MIL is a speech pathologist so she is ALWAYS talking about it. I want to tell her to shut up. My DD is who she is, just because she talks a lot doesn't mean anything other than she talks a lot. It's far too early to tell if she's gifted or not and I don't want to put that sort of pressure on her anyway. |

| Not trying to be at jerk.. But are verbal skills the most indicative of giftedness? My 2 yr old potty trained herself at 23 months and has the gross motor skills of 3 yr olds... Should I be bragging or testing? |
