| FYI. Part of Trump's 100 Day Plan is a school choice program (voucher) so you can bail if things get too bad, right? |
Yeah it was in another thread on here about school board candidates. She later went back and edited it, but not before a few people had responded and one got a screen shot of it. |
Shockingly irresponsible. |
White lady with black girls whose parents didn't consent and who repeatedly complained about their children's images being used and she ignored them. |
Sue her for damages. |
|
Outside my polling place an elderly black woman was pitching
for Ashley Carter, struck me that she was probably paid to be there, her words were entirely inauthentic. I did NOT vote for Carter but seems to me parents (me too) need to do more volunteering on election day, Carter probably got a lot of Millenial votes, without trying much. |

Maybe she did consent. There is usually some form to sign when registering for school saying your child's photo might be taken and used. Maybe it was a school event, the school then ok'ed the use of the photo. |
As has been stated over and over again, there was no such consent, no such approval, she was not authorized to take those photos much less disseminate them, and when the parents tried contacting her/her campaign about the photos, she blocked them. |
+1. Any generic release for school use covers school use only not political campaigns. She did not have permission period. She is a white woman running in a majority black city, she needed photos of herself with black kids to broaden her appeal. She stole those girls images without consent. And she portrayed herself as "helping" them in some way which she resolutely was not doing. |
Cultural misappopriation?
|
It really isn't funny and it's disgusting. She used images of minorities to get herself elected, and without permission to boot, but her agenda has no room for those very children whose images she's using. In some ways Trump is better in that he's open about his disdain for certain people and doesn't pretend otherwise. |
Better that than a WTU stooge. --DC Democrat (who wants more party competition and accountability at the local level). |
| Why are people surprised? Mary Lord was pushing gender identity nonsense in the schools; of course she was replaced. People are tired of that SJW garbage. |
The forms are only for school use. Even your PTA cannot use that form to protect themselves and technically the PTA needs its own form. The school form (if signed) grants certain rights to the school to use photos. It did not Grant Ashley Carter any rights. |
