Don't do that ever again. |
Do you just get in a car, close your eyes and hit the gas?? I suggest you stop doing that too. |
|
This is ridiculous. I hope she is slammed hard for using photos of kids without consent. Apparently she thinks it's no big deal to use photos of black girls as props in her campaign materials. Hard to believe but she's just ignoring the families complaints too.
Not a good role model to work in education. |
Holy sh--. If you don't know the candidates or the ballot initiative you leave it blank. You don't just see what name is strewn all over the flyers outside your polling place. Yes, I'm looking at you Ashley Carter, for leaving your litter on every house walkway and retaining wall within two blocks of where I voted. They were blowing everywhere and today are a soggy mess. |
Like the soggy mess that she is. This whole election has been a nightmare that we can't wake up from. |
You mean this Ashley Carter??
That's who a majority of you voted for??? |
|
God help us all. She is the worst. Ashley, since you DO read DCUM, if you ever make a mistake (hey, it happens) crisis management 101 says- apologize, beg for forgiveness and try to right the wrong. To use black girls as props, even if it was a staffer error, you should have APOLOGIZED, immediately, profusely and issued a statement. Instead, you blocked and ignored the families pleas for a response.
Rest assured, we SEE you. The public will not let you ignore this forever. |
We should take the right to vote away from people like that. |
No kidding! How irresponsible. If you don't bother to figure out who someone is, stay out of it!!! |
| Hey, what up dcumers, so can anyone succinctly explain what Ashley might accomplish during her tenure or which part of the population will benefit most (ie. rich or poor)? I know nothing about her policies, just kind of curious for a quick run down. Is DC state board of ed a position that allows for drastic changes to be implemented on how are city's children are educated? No joke. I really have no idea. Thanks. |
| This only confirms for our children that the most vile and negative candidate will prevail. Mary Lord had TONS of experience over Carter and didn't stoop to her level by name calling. Is this what we want to teach our children? I guess it is since we all elected Trump and Carter. We should all be ashamed of ourselves. This is the single most embarrassing moment of our lives. |
|
Too right. Ms Carter doesn't even have the most basic experience necessary to understand that you don't post negative rants on DCUM about your opponent and better yet you don't do it while signed in to your own account and then try to blame it on a "volunteer"!
And you don't use photos of kids in your campaign without parental consent and if you do make a mistake like that you immediately apologize. I don't even know get opponents but she is already clearly hated among the dcum crowd. Way to go Ashley! You must be so proud. |
SBOE has very little power. She might try and change the health curriculum (more abstinence, less LGBT issues) and will probably be very pro-charter. I would think the losers would be the teachers' union (though there's not much SBOE does with that) and DCPS in general. |
| Wtf happened yesterday Jesus effing christ |
