I was allowed to have to once per weekend as a kid. I developed a bad Diet Coke habit as an adult that lasted 20 years; finally kicked it 10 months ago. I think it was partially the forbidden fruit aspect of it. My dad is 86 and drinks Coke all day long and is very healthy. |

| Re:lemonade or tea being as bad as soda - from a calorie perspective, yes. It can be worse even. But that's not our concern. Our main concern is dental health and sugar is not good but sugar + carbonation is much worse. |

We don't buy it to have in the house. If we go out to eat (maybe every other month or so) they can have soda. I'm ok with them having refills too.
