I don't think that they care that her husband cheated on her. I think that they find that vindicating because she is an outspoken woman who they wanted to hate anyway. That her husband is a cheater just reinforces their image of her as an unwanted annoyance. The only reason they can come up with that a person would stay married to someone who (they believe) sees her that way is that she must be ambitious and using him for a political lift. So: - unattractive/not sexually desired - ambitious I do not understand the "EVIL" argument. I know that there are people who believe she is dishonest (I don't) and opportunistic (I do, but I don't care and don't think that her opportunism is different from anyone else's). I know that there are people who think that she's cold, who don't like the sound of her voice, who don't think she's feminine enough. I don't understand how any of that adds up to EVIL, though. It is totally overly dramatic. |
You're confusing her with Nixon. |
| I honestly think it all goes back to her statement that she wasn't FLOTUS to bake cookies. The right went apeshit because she wasn't following in Barbara Bush's footsteps. How dare a woman aspire to more?!! |
Agree. Sexism in its nastiest form. |
So you're telling me in your addled worldview that using the word abortion and having someone who was grateful for an abortion speak at a convention - obviously a response to the THOUSANDS of unnecessary abortion restrictions passed in the last few years is "advocating for abortion." Yes, you are twisted. And yes, all sensible people understand that abortion is going to occur regardless of legality. Your choice is living women or dead and maimed women. And I guess wealthy women unscarred, but that's par for the course. Still not seeing any evidence for "Hillary is evil." |
You anti-abortion wingnuts never get it. They weren't cheering for the abortion itself. They were cheering for the fact that in 2016 in our society, a woman can make that choice for herself if it benefits her and her family and her health, and she can get it done legally and safely. |
She's told you what her true beliefs are, and has been remarkably consistent in her policy positions (certainly more so than trump). So you think she's evil because she's a woman who wants power that only men have held before. Says a lot about you. |
Hillary is the one who paved the way for Obamacare in 1992 with her healthcare reform bill that eventually extended government provided healthcare to children. SHE did that. She worked across partisan lines to get that passed for children because she has always believed in healthcare for all, particularly for children. And yet, you claim you don't know her TRUE beliefs, so just resort to calling her evil, but you DO believe Obama had beliefs and wanted to make the world a better place. By doing many of the things she began in the 1990s. You're just... dumb. |
| People who cannot spell her name correctly should not be posting about her. How do you not know how to spell her name? |
Seriously -- you "don't know what her true beliefs are"? How is that possible? It's like saying you don't know who Elvis is. Here's a thought: Pay. Attention. |
I don't understand how you can say this? She has worked tirelessly for health care reform, for women and girls concerns around the world, and more. Here is a PBS biography of her that pre-dates her current run. PBS seems like a neutral source. It opens: "A tough and pragmatic leader, outspoken advocate for social justice and women's rights, and resilient and intelligent politician, Hillary Rodham Clinton has achieved many "firsts" in her roles as First Lady of the United States, U.S. Senator, presidential candidate, and Secretary of State. As she put it in her 2003 memoir Living History, "My mother and my grandmothers could never have lived my life; my father and my grandfathers could never have imagined it. But they bestowed on me the promise of America, which made my life and my choices possible." The whole thing: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/features/biography/clinton-hillary/ Besides healthcare reform (dubbed "HillaryCare") in the first term, her second term as first lady had the following focus areas: "During Bill's second term, Hillary cultivated a more traditional profile. She continued to focus on health and welfare issues, especially those involving children, and in 1997, supported the passage and rollout of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), which expanded health insurance for children in lower-income families. She was instrumental in the enactment of the Adoption and Safe Families Act, legislation that eased the removal of children from abusive situations. Hillary helped create the Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women in 1994, and during her travels to more than 80 countries she was a forceful advocate for women's rights. In 1995, during an unprecedented address in Beijing to the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women, Hillary recounted worldwide abuses and declared "It is time for us to say here in Beijing, and for the world to hear, that it is no longer acceptable to discuss women's rights as separate from human rights." Her beliefs and priorities - social justice, health care form, and equal rights for women and girls come through. |

It really boils down to the fact that she personally participated in the intentional and deliberate targeting of women who had already been sexually assaulted by her own husband.
She was (and is) too ugly for him to have sex with, so he went after other women. Some of them were flattered and others were assaulted. In both cases, Hillary slammed them. She's simply a horrible human being. |
That's all generic. Those women are hypothetical. When it came to the actual women whom her husband assaulted and raped and generally abused, she did nothing to defend them. You don't get to do that and still pretend you are a feminist. |
I'll ask again. Are you the same poster who has made this point repeatedly on the thread? And how is this your most pressing issue in an election in 2016? How do you reconcile this as your biggest point when Trump has all sorts of issues disrespecting women? Are you just not voting for HRC or are you voting for Trump because of this reason? |
|
17:09, those women are not hypothetical. Women are real, and we matter, no matter whether they live in this country or not.
How can you blame her for her husband's actions? What's more -- your choices are Trump or Hillary Clinton. Who puts down women every chance he gets, unless they're a "10", in his words? If you want someone who respects women, your choice is easy: Hillary Clinton! |
