I'm an Indian woman who finds this the dumbest and most embarrassing thread I've read in a really long time. Cringe.

This has probably been mentioned already but preppy is an aesthetic, way of life, and a socio-economic class, not a race. And the world of preps includes a lot of Indians. I'm an example (east coast boarding school, small liberal arts college in New England, summers on the Cape, etc). Lots of Indians like me exist. And we have equivalent Indians in the UK and back in India as well. Just so much cringe at the OP.

Another Indian woman here and I totally disagree with you. OP likes preppy white guys. She has every right to. You are very judgmental.

Um, no? Look at the OP's thread title: she clearly thinks preppy = white or that somehow it's an ethnically exclusive category. Who gives a fuck if she likes white guys? I'm dating a white guy myself. What I find embarrassing is that her class-conscious tendencies come across much more strongly and for her it's a social aspiration disguised when she says "Do preppy men date Indian women?" with the inherent assumption that preppy=only white and she's clearly not educated enough to understand that preppiness is a class category.
