It’s never been called a “man card” because the men who have run have not run on their gender.
Hillary has repeatedly said that it’s time to have a woman in the WH. That is playing the woman card.
If she isn’t trying to play the woman card, she should run on her experience and leave her gender out of it.

It is actually very late not have a woman president in US and Hillary is eminently more qualified than her male contenders. Its just your prejudice that you cannot see it!

No, not my prejudice. I don’t agree with her politics or her proposed policies. I don’t trust her judgment. I don’t believe she is trustworthy.
Believe me, there are plenty of reasons why I won’t vote for her. Her gender has nothing to do with it.
And, I don’t consider her qualified. Serving in a particular office does not make one qualified. Her performance in her previous roles is what counts, and that performance was severely lacking.

You trust Donald Trump's judgment? You find him trustworthy? You consider him qualified to serve as president? You're a man, right?

Nope. Your gender radar is off.

Okay, so you're a white or Asian female. Do you believe affirmative action for blacks and Latinos comes at the expense of whites and Asians? Did you move to a more white and Asian part of MD or VA for the schools? And I asked if you think Trump is trustworthy, honest and qualified to be president.

I think the objection is to the "you should vote for politician X specifically because she is a woman" type of reasoning.

Honestly I am pretty conservative about these things but am not bothered by the "woman card," at least in the political arena.

I am bothered by all the man-bashing posts above and I am certain below me. Some people (men, women) love to dish out but if you ever respond boy do the pearls get clutched.

Please identify the man bashing you claim.

Mostly all of the "men hold all the power" folks. Generally true with some exceptions on the upper levels of society, but I would rather have been a coal miners daughter than a coal miner or would rather have written vletters to the front rather than received them. Not all of us come from rich backgrounds, you know.

So it's bashing to say someone holds the power? Really? I'm still waiting for you to point out the man bashing you claimed was there.

Second post: men "hold the deck" despite lower college graduation rates, lower life expectancy, more homelessness, rampant discrimination in child custody determinations. Obviously a massive overstatement with no nuance.

Third post: white men automatically full of "grievances" and "resentful." Not some, of course, but all. And of course if a white male has a position on an issue involving race / gender it can never be justified.

Anyways I don't even care if people vote for Hillary b/c she is a woman
But you can build up without tearing others down.

Oh come on, our college graduation rates are overdone. First of all, they are 57%. It's not a landslide. Second, if you want to be an electrician (a job men tend to take), you don't need any diploma. But if you want to teach kindergarten, you need a college degree. Even though the electrician will make more than you. Plumbers don't need degrees, but nurses do. So women need degrees to get to the same level of earning that many men get by entering the trades.
Yet, there is nothing stopping women from becoming plumbers or working in the "trades..." You simply point out your own bias against these jobs.

Actually there is. My niece is in her apprenticeship to become a union plumber. She's doing it, but she has had a tremendous amount of sexual harassment and hostility toward her because they don't want women there. Some scary, threatening stuff too. She expected some amount of tough talk and a little hazing, but it's a lot worse than that.

I don’t believe affirmative action should be based on race at all. I believe it should be based on SES. And, I don’t live in MD or VA. I live well outside of the DC area.
And, yes, I do believe he is honest and trustworthy, and qualified. A prerequisite for president does not stipulate that one has had to serve in government.
I don’t agree with everything he promotes. I think some of his language has been inflammatory and provocative. But, I think he will do a good job as Commander in Chief and as the executor of our nation.

You believe he is honest and trustworthy despite the fact that multiple fact-checking publications have found the majority of his fact-checked statements are false? OK. What do you base your opinion on, then?

Much of what he has said was due to getting media coverage. FREE media coverage. And, it has worked like a charm.
When I dig deep into a candidate’s belief - I tend to look more at that candidate’s actions and accomplishments, not as much what he says on the campaign trail. Obama said a ton of stuff on the campaign trail - he promised to never use executive actions, yet he has. He promised not to have lobbyists working in the WH. They are. Many other promises and statements that are not true or things he promised but has not done......So, what a candidate says when campaigning has to be taken with a grain of salt.
Since Trump is not a politician, one has to look at what he has done as a business person. And, he has had success. He has many female executives, despite what many on the left will say about him being a misogynist. Yes, he did declare bankruptcy - but that is not surprising given the number of business deals he has made. He has also raised some incredibly talented and decent kids. Many kids of people of wealth are spoiled brats. They aren’t.
When given the choice between Trump and Hillary, Trump is the more accomplished candidate, IMO. I think HRC’s decision-making, judgment, and secrecy have disqualified her in my eyes.

Trump's kids are incredibly talented and decent? Which ones the big-game hunters? And you think Donald Trump raised them?

And it's OK with you that he makes statements that are wildly false, because it's all part of his incredibly smart strategy of getting free media coverage?

Yikes.

Yes, they are decent and talented. You think because someone is a big game hunter they are not decent people? And, yes, I believe Trump was very active in parenting them.
And, if we want to discuss false statements, we can look at Obama’s record with making false statements. I guess people who voted for him have overlooked those..........

You are a big fan of Trump's children, huh? I've never heard that his sons are particularly decent or talented but I do read good things about his daughter.

If you want to compare Obama or Clinton and Trump on false statements, check out the NYT story, "All politicians lie but some lie more than others." It's from December, and DJT has had a lot of pants-on-fire moments since then.

For those who think Trump had anything to do with raising his kids:

He also fully admitted (per Joe Scarborough) that they were raised entirely by Ivana. You know, the wife he raped.

These are the same folks who think Palin is a better politician than HC because her kids are more attractive and she has more of them. Cray-cray. Don't argue with it, PP.
