You see more noticeable gains when you're at 300k in one account. Obviously it's mental. But if the market goes up 10%, you see a 30k gain on a 300k account; if you have a 100k account, you'd only see 10k -- even though your separate accounts would all be going up by 10%. It works the other way too - the more you have in one account, the bigger downward swings feel.
