"Try as it might, the university has been unable to put the scandal behind it. The university was placed on probation by its accreditation board — a humiliating blow."

PP. Ok. fine. but I assume mykid would actually go to class. I really am stumped by the Duke campus. It looks like an office park, what am I missing?

And JMU.

Really? That's your comment three months later?

I like Duke but am not overly impressed though I'm onboard if DC is admitted and still wants to attend.

So Dukes and Dukettes out there...what is so great about Duke that I should join DC on the bandwagon??

Not a *southern* university — that’s just geography. Students from all over the country and the world attend Duke for its renowned degree programs. Not to be confused with other flagship universities located in the South. Duke is very selective (acceptance rates in the single digits) Kudos and best of luck to your DC!

Nice try at a dig. Don't worry, we're aren't worried about Dookies, you can stay in your lane and have fun in Durham.

But a great lacrosse program!

A lot of schools are called that because Jersey has such sh!t colleges (Princeton excepted) that students have to go elsewhere for a decent education.

Hands down the douchiest, most basic students in the country.

That is what everyone in NC called it. It used to have a ridiculous number of oos students and guess which beautiful state they all escaped from?

Duke is fine but honestly all these schools are basically the same. -Duke grad

YOu northern people are annoying if Duke doesn't impress you then what school does? Outside of HYPSM, and Columbia; Duke is the best one can do.

Chicago and Penn's business school are also ahead of Duke from a prestige perspective.
