But, momastery. That blogger is a loon. I won't give the satisfaction of clicking directly on her site, but read excerpts through GOMI.

Won't spoil it for you, but blogger has a God Complex and is completely enthralled with herself. Train wreck. Commenters/followers are just as crazy and follow her every word.

You're welcome.

Oh Glennon. Yeah, she bugs.

What was it that happened a couple years ago that something HUGE happened to/with her husband, but Glennon never came out and said what it was--but it appeared to be something divorce worthy? Addiction? Affair? Did she ever say?

Most speculation was an affair. That or that he is gay. Either way they got over it mighty quickly and she continues her "brutiful" life where things like toasters continue to theoretically baffle her and she glorifies her inability to perform simple tasks like getting her kids to school on time.

I thought Glennon's husband's issue was sex addiction? Either way, add me to the list of people who think her blog and whole personna is vomit-inducing.

Love Taza is the worst. When Derp quit his job so they could sell their children's privacy for doughnuts, popsicles, and free hotel rooms, it soured me on the blog. I think when they were in DC and just had Eleanor, they were still aspirational but now they are just gross.

Anonymous wrote:Clearly in the minority here, but I think Glennon admitting her imperfections and encouraging self-acceptance and gratitude is refreshing in this Pinterest perfection, Facebook facade world.

PLEASE!! Glennon's -~quirky yet lovable-~ "imperfection" IS a facade in itself.

pink peonies

I am fascinated by this blogger who seems to be insanely rich given her lifestyle and the amount of time she spends on herself. Fascinating.

Ditto re: Because I'm Addicted

It's so Mormon cultish too. Fascinating.

Agreed.

I've never heard about Pink Peonies before, so today was my first time visiting that blog. First off, who told that woman she was pretty? She looks like an aging drag queen. All that pink makes you want to puke. And finally, that husband of hers might want to do something with his facial expression while posing for pictures. He looks like he's been constipated for a week and Miralax's just about to work its magic.

OP, if I were you, I'd read a book on the beach. Failing that, pick up a magazine, even trashy one would do.. at least, there's hope that published articles were written by someone with at least some education.

I was going to say Ivory Lane! Sister of Pink Peonies. Talk about someone who seems to never have worked a day in her life.

"Why Girlfriends Are Better Than Husbands:

1. It is more fun to play “My Husband Is Dumber Than Your Husband” with your girlfriends (husbands don’t find it as funny). You know this game. It is where you sit around with your girlfriends, preferably with a glass of wine, and complain about the latest dumb-ass thing your husband said or did."

Proud Working Mom comes off as a village idiot.

"9. A good girlfriend will drive an hour out of the way to get a milkshake with you at that one spot you have been craving all week (because you are both on your periods at the same time…twinsies)."

Twinsies? Sounds appropriate for an' Executive Vice President of Sales' (love the capitalized first letters of her - gasp! - title. Executive Vice President of Sales, can you imagine? )

Anonymous wrote:GOMI is seriously my favorite place to go for hate-reading. I've spent HOURS on that board, reading about blogs that I don't even read. It is so entertaining.

I always feel dirty when I read GOMI, but I lurve rehashing decades-old (sigh) trash on the Old School Journalers thread. (Dreama anyone? Rob R-H anyone?)

Also, Dooce. I can't stand her. And Amalah.

I agree, but there was really only way it was gonna go. Photogenic Mormon hipster couple has passel of photogenic children, puts on display, makes bank. Why bother going to work when there are so many cronuts to photograph?

I've been reading up on That Wife since it was mentioned on here. She sounds truly mental. She constantly contradicts herself. Has she ever heard of the word logic? Because she certainly does not apply it in her life.

Me too! She seems to have a split personality thing going on.

Anonymous wrote:Proud working mom is NOT FIRED. The administrators are most certainly employed. The post "my confidence is gone" is from an anonymous working mom telling HER STORY about losing her job. Many of the posts are from working moms across the country and as the content is often a bit controversial they choose to remain anonymous. Think you need to get your facts straight

Thanks for setting us straight, Proud Working Mom.

Yes, thanks so much. Your blog is still cringe worthy though.

My favorite is when she calls out her coworkers for talking about how busy they are, and then proceeds to say "I know busy. Busy is working full time and having 3 children."

Yeah, but you're not too busy to write your crappy, cringey blog.
