Blogs you love to hate?

But, momastery. That blogger is a loon. I won't give the satisfaction of clicking directly on her site, but read excerpts through GOMI.

Won't spoil it for you, but blogger has a God Complex and is completely enthralled with herself. Train wreck. Commenters/followers are just as crazy and follow her every word.

You're welcome.

Glennon is psycho. The "I'm so kooky and wacky and disorganized and imperfectly perfect that you still have to love me" schtick is grating and, for a 40+ year old woman, embarrassing.

I thought I was the only person who felt that way! The women in my neck of the woods absolutely revere her - they go to all her talks, share FB posts about her, etc. What is it with this woman?

Welcome to the land of twee. Make sure to visit her instagram for extra cringe!

^oh no. Kelle has a book now, too? That's when I stop reading.

Securing a book deal seems to be the ultimate goal of mommy bloggers. Then the books become bestsellers. Who buys this schlock? The books are just rehashed and reprinted blog posts.

Well played though mommy bloggers. Beats working for a living.

Hmm. How about all those twee "Working Mom Blogs"? Just as grating. "I can do it all, but it's all just so insane and crazy - yet still I manage! How do I keep all these balls in the air?! Read on!" Ugh, no thanks.

I am fascinated by this blogger who seems to be insanely rich given her lifestyle and the amount of time she spends on herself. Fascinating.

Ditto re: Because I'm Addicted

It's so Mormon cultish too. Fascinating.

She is sweet for someone who apparently spends every waking moment figuring out ways for companies to pay for her clothes, her kids clothes, her vacations, etc.

I liked her at first too but now the blog is just one big paid for advertisement.

not a fan of the Matt Walsh blog. OTOH, not sure why him, as opposed to the 1000s of conservabloggers and "libertarians" that always seem to take social conservative POVs ...

Dayna Martin's Radical Unschooling blog. So self-righteous. And I think her older daughter has undiagnosed HFA, but we wouldn't want to do anything about that, like social skills training, oh no, because that would be trampling on her rights to express her inner self and it's better to just shape the world to accommodate her. Because she can make a living selling crap on Etsy.

I was done with Kelle when she posted a picture of Nella squirming and reaching for her while one of Kelle's fangirls picked Nella up and started kissing on her.

I personally think all mommy blogs are just gross. Kids deserve privacy. They don't need to grow up only to look back on what they thought were fun family memories and realize, oh, shit, these are just commercials for a trip my mom was sponsored to take us on and we are wearing clothes she was advertising as well. It's bullshit. If all you have to write about is your kids' lives, you're not a writer. You're an exploiter.

Way too mawkish and cutesy! Also, the blog owner's comments about how she was crying with tears of pride when she visited the George W. Bush Presidential Library and how frequently she mentions Jesus/God scare me.

However, I must say that her kids are adorable and that I spy on her blog often. It's like a train wreck that you cannot look away from.

GOMI is seriously my favorite place to go for hate-reading. I've spent HOURS on that board, reading about blogs that I don't even read. It is so entertaining.

Whoa. Just read one of those blogs. The mom got fired a week ago. That sucks. So much for a working mom blog.

I really have an issue with lack of privacy or regard for special, family moments. Everything is on display and discussed ad nauseum, it's gross.
