What does an offer letter from the Big Three look like?

Doesn't matter which school. Some of the posters here are mean. I just wanted to tell my experience instead of freaking out about letter size. For the record, it's a great school and I hope the mean parents get what they deserve: One thin letter and hundreds of dollars of non-refundable application fees.

What does a phone call from a Big Three sound like?

Mozart's requiem

Is that the ring tone they prefer I use for them? I have plugged in the Italian symphony for all the potential phone calls originating from a Big 3 admissions office, but I get your point. It is a sad day for a lot of parents and kids, it's true. Again, it speaks volumes that the Big 3 are sensitive to this fact. Mozarts requiem it is then.

That's funny. Are you sure it's not the lyrics for Jealousy by Good Charlotte stuck in your head?

Yup! I'm a vet of waiting. Have experienced the "Big3" thick-white twice.

And, I had thought all the angels were in heaven. Perhaps you too will take this journey.

Kind of snippy aren't you? I asked the question, because I thought it was kind of nice that one of the schools was considerate enough to actually call parents first--considering how some of us are on pins and needles about this process. It would be nice if you would share the information, instead of wishing doom and gloom on all of us. We're stressed out enough as it is!

PP, that woman does not represent all of us parents whose children through some stroke of good fortune got into one of these 3 schools (mind you, I am sure some would NOT consider it good fortune). Wishing you and your family good luck. And I guess that means the fat envelope delivered by doves with harps in the background. Although that actually sounds a little creepy...
