What's her name?

Oh, HA! I'm not the OP but I love naming people and animals, so I opened the thread and noticed it was first posted in December 2014

No to Agnes. That's my mom's name and she has hated it since she was 2. I like Olivia or Rosalind or Ava

Maeve.

I have a Celia! She has two brothers, but here were our other girl names:

Francesca
Caroline
Audrey
Fiona
Annabelle
Victoria
Thea
Lucia/ Lucille nn Lucy
Clara
Susannah
Camille
Julia
Tessa
Victoria (nn Tori)
Margaret (nn Maggie or Margo)
Louisa

As a side note, I see this thread is about three years old. I'm assuming a NP with a Celia is trying to name a new baby girl.

I think both are too close to Celia. But, of the two, I prefer Lila. Celia and Lilia are too matchy.

Obviously Rosalind

Neither.

My first thought as well. Also like Phoebe or Beatrice.

Agreed. I don't like either. Neither is a good name. Lilian is nice, but not for a Celia's sister.

Iris.

Anonymous wrote:Elliott is great, I love how the T kind of firms things up after the very vowelly Celia. So for a girl, how about Margaret? 3 syllables, ends in T! Less popular these days, so you won't have to worry about being one of many, but it's still a great classic name. Violet also fits that pattern.

So funny, I LOVE OP's taste, and Margaret was the first name that popped into my head, too. We considered Margaret, but were leaning toward Meg as a nickname rather than Maggie. I think Meg has the same old-time, gentle feeling as Celia, whereas Maggie seems more perky.

Other than that, I love a lot of suggestions on this thread. Definitely my type of names!

Bingo ... I love every single one of these. Ahhh, you're making me want another baby!
