I don't think a matching first letter alone is too much. Say the names together and see if they sound too similar overall.

Elliott is great, I love how the T kind of firms things up after the very vowelly Celia. So for a girl, how about Margaret? 3 syllables, ends in T! Less popular these days, so you won't have to worry about being one of many, but it's still a great classic name. Violet also fits that pattern.

I don't like Celia and Claire together. If you like Claire, you could go with Paige (I always thought they were similar-style names). I also like Jane.
