I don't think a matching first letter alone is too much. Say the names together and see if they sound too similar overall. |

| Elliott is great, I love how the T kind of firms things up after the very vowelly Celia. So for a girl, how about Margaret? 3 syllables, ends in T! Less popular these days, so you won't have to worry about being one of many, but it's still a great classic name. Violet also fits that pattern. |

Don't do rhyming names! Too Amelia Bedelia. Another C names is fine, but I would stay away from an similar sounding ending. |
