LAWD! This revival of this dead post could not be more timely. My FIL (note, not DH dad, they've been married about 12 years, so neither of us grew up with him) is walking around in a hastily closed, what can only be described as a light kimono type robe in my home right now. We have central air. Its not hot. He's never opted to stay with us before because of various health issues, both real and somewhat imagined, that makes him want "his space" for the 1st day of any visit. Which I'm fine with, to each their own. But this was definitely a surprise consequence of having more space! Its a laugh really, but man, I hope that belt holds!

Weird to see this again. I'm the OP and the last time my in laws visited, my MIL was sitting naked in bed with the door wide open when she knew I was coming in to give her some Advil she asked me to bring her. I don't care what her body looks like, I don't need to see my MIL naked in my home. I was raised that If you are a houseguest somewhere, you need to be modest and respectful. This was neither. You don't walk around naked in someone else's home.

Ugh, OP of this thread and my MIL is wearing a sleep shirt with her legs wide open so everyone can see her underwear. I am so disgusted. Everyone else is fully clothed - it's not even 8pm, PLEASE!!!

Which is it? There is a big difference between being naked under covers (she probably had on underwear) and literally walking around the house naked.
