Agree with this. There is small pocket of DCUM frumps who call name that isn't in their small list of the usual suspects a stripper name. They remind me of my southern grandmother. She was hilarious. If a woman or girl broke any of grandma's rules of etiquette she would point it out with a "only loose women, women of the night, fast women, street walker would do that" and other references to prostitutes and strippers. As a child I grew up assuming that all prostitutes wore white after labor day, forgot to put their napkin on their lap, ate the garnish on the dinner plate, and sent their Thank You notes more than one week after receiving the gift. I was quite surprised to later find out what they actually were and did. |
