Um, no, you didn't. Because no one refers to any part of DC as midtown. But if they did, OK. The only people worried about others "sound[ing] like poseurs" tend to be "poseurs," i.e., people insecure enough to care about something so insignificant. Geez, so many people here are so pathetic.
