| If commute wasn't an issue, but you still wanted access to good schools (public or private), where do you think is the most beautiful area in the DMV? |
| Spring Valley. I wouldn't want to live there, but it is beautiful. |
| Great falls or McLean |
| DMV. Snort. |

+100000 McLean sucks. Great Falls. If money is no object, you want space, and you will have it. McLean has to many looky loo losers who have a problem with not being able to afford the new houses, and acting out like small children about it. Though, that might just be their tiny penises talking. |
| Great Falls. I have no desire to live there, but I'd say it's bucolic and has good schools. |
| The Langley part of McLean. Absolutely stunning neighborhood. Very pricey though. $2.5-3M is pretty much the entry point and gets you a fixer-upper. |
| Great Falls, Darnestown, Poolesville, parts of Potomac |
McLean is a much better investment than Great Falls. |
| There are a few neighborhoods in the Westbrook area of Bethesda, near Mass Ave. that are beautiful. My son went to a Bar Mitzvah at a home there in the spring when every house had azaleas blooming and it was absolutely beautiful. |
+1000-- "DMV" is a stupid name, and it's already been taken by Departments of Motor Vehicles everywhere. Also, it places the District first but suggests that "M" and "V" are of equal significance. Bullshit. Third, I understand there's a previous-generation GoGo association that's part of this, too, and... well... there's a place for commemorating the relevant moment in time, but we're only talking about a few decades in the second half of the 20th century. That's not my city, and frankly, I think the pre-1950 city was far more interesting. |
