Me too, but my idea of a "splurge" is $150 or if I'm feeling really flush and want to make a big purchase then a couple of times in my life I've gone up to a few hundred. $40k though? That's nuts. Just think of all the things you could do with that money. To put it in context, the amount of after tax money that our family of four lives on in a year is not much more than that. |
god help me for being so judgmental, but this. |
Don't bother with the incredibly rude posters, OP. Good job on working so hard and apparently saving so much Oh and your husband rocks!
|
| I feel sad knowing that bracelet is in the world. |
Hey OP here's something for you!
Probably a smidge more than $40k though
|
If you're really loaded:
or something a little less obvious:
|
I love the cougar ring! I will get it when I can. |
But it's just SUCH an ugly bracelet!! Get a hold of yourself woman. |
| Really unbelievable. I have a lot of rich friends but I've never heard of anyone buying or considering a 40,000 bracelet. |
so true (unless you're a French supermodel married to a VC billionaire or Mick Jagger) |
Who knows. Maybe they're not as rich as the OP. Whatever the case if the bracelet is a super small percentage of their wealth/income I suppose it doesn't matter. After all it's relative. I know I could swing maybe a $4k bracelet and there are plenty of people making at least 10 x what I make. |
|
If I were going to do a troll post, "I want to buy a 40K bracelet that's shaped like a nail" would be perfect.
Love it, OP, whoever you are and whatever you decide to do. |
| I thought Cartier had become synonymous with KardShian. Shudder. Spend wisely |
You lost "all respect" for someone because of a car they purchased? You are the petty, status-obsessed one. I bet that car isn't as important to him as it is to you. |
+1 That's nuts, pp. Unless he's starving his family and keeping them naked so he can afford his new car OR is constantly reminding you of the car's price tag, I cannot figure out why you care so much. |
