Im the person who posted this and my child goes to public school. These are my observations and they are the truth. So many people are just jealous and envious. Current parents of these three schools arent on here saying negative things, its just those who didnt get in. Sorry but its the truth.

Doubt very much your child goes to public school, dear troll. Also, you're ignoring the several posts on this thread who say they ARE in top 3 schools and they DO think the parent bodies at their schools are obnoxious.

Your post makes it clear that you are NOT at a BIG 3, so why do you care if parents are obnoxious? You guessed it- to make yourself feel better and I suspect you are the troll. I'll say this, I have kids in 2 different Big 3s, which is such a stupid term, so I prefer Top Tier - since this is how they are ranked in any legitimate national ranking - sorry but DCUM is not such a source. Parents at these schools? Some/most are awesome, some not so much, and some (very very few) are obnoxious. My neighborhood public school- same mix-up, so new topic. please.

I can't believe I'm bothering to justify myself to such a pompous, nasty piece of work as you, but here goes: I come to the private school forum because my kids went to an area private and I like to continue following it, and occasionally I feel compelled to play "policewoman" when some jerk posts a particularly mean or ignorant comment about public schools and the families who use them. That's all I was doing above - setting straight the idiot (you, I'm guessing) who is accusing public school parents of being jealous of your (it was mine, too) privilege. If it matters, my kid who went to private elementary turned down a so-called Big 3 for a public magnet, but you seem disposed to accuse strangers of nefarious wrong-doing so I doubt you'll believe me.

A good question right now would seem to be: what are you doing dredging up day-old posts so you can lay into the poster with ill-informed accusations and failed DCUM telepathy? Your own behavior is pretty nasty, whether you call it trolling or just plain mean. Good bye.

This forum is entertaining and enlightening. I teach at one of the oft mentioned top tier schools, and my colleagues and I love reading the crazy stuff the crazy parents write. Sometimes we even hazard a guess at who they might be. It's like "real housewives of private schools." We just can't turn away.
