HHI is 200k almost exactly.
Take home is about 10500.

Seems about on the mark depending on insurances/etc

I am right around this as well -

HHI $208K
Take Home - $11K

I wonder why mine is low. HHI is $200k and take home is $9450 (based on 2 * biweekly pay). And this amount will go down starting from January as I am not playing for SS, Medicare, etc. now.

Are you contributing to Dependent care and health care flex? $9450 is after the flex contributions ($5000 for dependent care and $200 health care flex)?

I'm right at $200k HHI as well and also take home right around $9k a month. We max out two 401ks, max out a dependant care account, and pay dental and health insurance. All told, that's $1800 a pay period or roughly $4000 a month. I'm guessing other people aren't doing these things to come in with that much more take home.

HHI: 65k
Family size- couple with one dd
Take home after taxes/insurance: Just a hair under 4k
We live in MD.

What??
At 92,000, with 401k, insurance, taxes taken out, I brought home 4,300 per four weeks. Dc resident.

My salary is similar. Just under $90k. My take home (minus insurance and 15 percent 401k) is $2100 every two weeks. That works out at $4550 a month (I'm calculating a month as, er, an actual month, not four weeks).

A biweekly * 2 paycheck of $9,450 = a monthly paycheck of $10,237. That accounts for part of the difference.

HHI is about $145k. Monthly take home (after taxes, retirement, dependent care, health care FSA, and insurance) is about $7500.

$205K - $11K take home, maxing 401K, paying health/dental. not taking advantage of flex spending.
