Expunging Grades from 8th Grade/Middle School

No need to retake a language class if you drop the grade from middle school - just take a different language in high school. Math classes are another story.

Honors Algebra and honors geometry are weighted in FCPS.

In FCPS, you can expunge and still move up to the next level. You are not required to retake the class. However, of course, the class won't count towards meeting the graduation requirements.

^^^so if you need 3 years of a language and you expunge the first year but moved up to the second year, you'd need to get to the fourth level to meet the three years of a language requirement.

I'm not reading all 5 pages but know that some schools not on CommonApp have self-report for transcripts and you have to include the MS classes even if they aren't on your transcript.

Honors Algebra and honors geometry are weighted in FCPS.


Algebra and Geometry (even taken in MS) are considered HS classes and appear on their HS transcript. So do World Language classes taken in MS. Honors Algebra and Honors Geometry are considered HS level Honors classes and get the .5 GPA bump on their HS GPA.
