Husband swearing at children

Anonymous
What else is going on that is making him so angry, other than his wife hating his guts and only staying with him to protect the kids? When was the last time you guys had sex? I assume he wasn't always this way.
I have trouble with yelling instead of more even discipline, I tend to step it up too quickly when the kids are dragging their feet or whining, and it's not really DH or the kid's fault, they are young. 1-2-3 Magic helps.

My mom stayed married to my dad, who was very much like the husband you described, for 20 years. She filed for divorce when I left home for college. My brother and I have very few good memories of our father. I'm now 28 years old, and I still occasionally have nightmares about him.

Verbal abuse may not leave physical scars, but it does, indeed, leave a lasting impression. Please get professional help. Please don't allow your children to grow up thinking that it's okay for anyone to talk to them this way. You and your children don't deserve to be treated like this.
