| 44 pregnant with my second (and last). |
| I feel 400 years old most of the time. I find myself surprised I can identify with Egyptian mummies. |
I'm with a midwife now - GW. They recommend the tests routinely. You can decline any and all, but once the recommendation is out there, you worry. |
| You don't hAve to worry. What is most likely to happen is that you will have a perfectly normal baby , regardless of what tests you do or don't take . I'm the 42 yo ttc pp and im just not doing anything other than the 20 week scan. |
Can the 40+ folks add i they used any ART? I'm 41.3 and just had my first miscarriage at 9 weeks
|
| 42. My kids are 6 and 9. |
34 pregnant with first. I know I'm not the oldest, but posting anyways
|
| 41, just had third. May have another if I can. |
I'm very sorry. I used progesterone supplements to address a short luteal phase at 38 and 40. Two healthy kids from those pregnancies. A few chemical pregnancies and one later miscarriage too. |
I'm very sorry for your loss. I had miscarriages at 40, went to IVF, then had success with donor egg. It does happen for some 40+ women without intervention, but many do need help. |
So sorry for your loss. I got pregnant at 40 on my 2nd IVF cycle, but miscarried at 9 weeks as well. Tired of delaying the start of our family, so moved to DE IVF to increase our odds and am pregnant with twins after 1st cycle. |
8 years is not an extreme age gap to me. |
| 42 and just had my third. Others are 8 and 11. |
well, unfortunately, I also miscarried like the poster above here. So the age gap grows ever wider
|
So so sorry. We have a 10 yr age gap and it's working out great so don't let the gap deter you! Good luck to you. |
