What brand of ice cream do you buy?

Now that I've found Graeters in a few supermarkets, that's what we buy. Their choc chunks are so creamy and delicious. Blackberry chip is awesome

The quality of the chocolate definitely makes the "chips n' chunks" SO much better - I'll have to check out Graeters next time I'm at the market. I've heard of it, so it's always worth comparing!

I will have to do that sometime... A few weeks ago we went to Harper's Ferry, WV for the day and got a treat at The Swiss Miss. I had a cup of vanilla custard that was so thick and rich. Really really delicious. But my DH's ice cream was just "meh" to me. All your flavors sound delicious!

Any other Pitango fans here? I could live off their pistachio gelato.

Harris Teeter store brand!!! They have all natural ingredients -- just like Breyers used to be before it went to the dark side.

If I'm at home, it's Bluebell all the way. Here, I usually get whatever's on sale, unless I want a specific flavor ( my kids are crazy for the Safeway churro flavor).

Sometimes I go out of my way for Mayfield's, which is the ice cream of my childhood.

dyed in wool ben and jerry's fan because I'm a native vermonter.

Will occasionally buy talenti gelato.

so sad that Breyer's ruined their premium brand by adding all the random ingredients. It used to be just the basic cream, sugar, etc. i miss the breyer's vanilla of my childhood!

The Graeter's website used to (a month ago) list Safeways in this area as retail outlets and no longer does. Kroger just bought Harris Teeter - maybe they'll carry it soon?

Some brand use to have a 5 ice cream with only 5 igredients, but I haven't seen it in a while. Tring to cut down on fat and calories now, so I like Yoplait Frozen Yogurt, but if I'm buying ice cream it is always Breyers Vanilla Bean (and only if on sale..2 for $5 or 2 for $6)

I got Graeters at Whole Foods yesterday.
