Have you ever keyed a stranger's car?

What I have done is left nasty notes on the windshields of assholes from VA and MD who park in the bus zones in DC. They need to get a ****ing clue. Talk about rude.

How is the note any less offensive and rude?

Really?? You need serious help!

I had someone back into a space and ram the front of my car, denting the license plate, and leaving a couple scrapes. I was pissed as hell so I left them a note. I didn't use any foul language but it was a little passive aggressive. I told them they hit my car and maybe they should just admit that they aren't capable of backing into spaces in their massive SUV if they can't do so without hitting other cars.

Never would it have occurred to me to key their car. Even though they had damaged mine a little.

I did it once or twice when I was a teenager.

When cars park in my reserved space at my apartment bldg (close to the zoo and rock creek, usually VA plates) I often fantasize about letting the air out of a tire, but I would never do it. I call the cops to have the car ticketed - they never come but it makes me feel better. I also leave a pre-printed note telling them how much of an asshole they are and noting that if they are visiting my building, they can have their host pay us 1/30th of the monthly fee since I had to park on the street for a day.

Did so once with someone who parked so close to my drivers side door that I had to climb in through the passengers side and over to the drivers seat. A small baby could not get through.

Something is very, very wrong with you. Someone parked like a jerk warrants a, "wow, whoever parked that car is a total jerk!" How on earth could someone parking like an idiot elicit such an extreme response from you? And guess what, keying a car is totally extreme as a response here. You need help.

She's 1/30 of the VA asshole that parked in her spot, don't you think?

If someone parks too close to me in a space, I feel no guilt opening my door hard into theirs.

Wow, you are a total pig. I hope you get caught on camera in some way and are exposed for how disgusting you are. Don't you know that big brother is everywhere these days since everyone has a portable, pocket sized video camera? You are the type of person that only does the right thing if someone is watching you.

Keying the car or parking like an asshole?

Keying the car is far more arrogant and douchey.

An asshole parking job is maybe a 5 on a scale of 1-10. this response is like a 12. Who the fuck deems the OP the arbiter and enforcer? FAR more arrogant. If I were given a choice between who to shoot, I'd shoot the OP.

It's so interesting...PP complains about OP response being off the scale, and yet PP's response is to talk about murdering OP. also way off the scale.

This works especially well in Bethesda.

Winner.

OP is batshit crazy. We all agree. Let's move on.

Judging by most of the responses here, DCUMers only spew hatred and nastiness with words here online, but would never actually *do* anything. I suppose that's good news.

So many defenders of asshole parking... I'm guessing a few PPs have been on the wrong end of OPs key.

+1. And she's implying that both of those offenses (parking like an asshole and keying cars) are "shootable" offenses, and that she's the "decider." Get out the DSM!
